ISTANBUL, March 23, 2026 / PRNewswire/ — Karsan, the global mobility brand focusing on next-generation technology in public transport, increased its revenue by 11% to reach 330 million euros in 2025. Karsan, which generated 220 million euros in revenue from electric vehicle sales, saw its exports grow by 43% to reach 197 million euros. Aimed at maintaining its growth in Europe, Karsan plans to launch autonomous driverless public transport operations in 2026. Okan Bas, CEO of Karsan, stated that the Karsan e-JEST and e-ATAK models continue to lead in their European public transport segments: “Turkey is Europe’s production base in bus and midibus manufacturing. Karsan accounted for 80% of midibus and electric bus exports from Turkey to Europe between 2019 and 2025.” Emphasizing the goal of sustaining their growth in Europe by boosting electric vehicle sales in 2026 and ranking among the top 5 players in Europe in the next five years, Okan Bas specified: “Of course, we are aware that our presence in existing markets is not sufficient to achieve this goal. Therefore, we will expand into new markets. We will focus on some Northern countries in 2026. We are not present in the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, and Germany. In these markets, we will start by establishing our organizational structure. We will also strengthen our position in the Spanish and Polish markets, where we entered last year. Our goal is to expand our electric vehicle fleet in Europe to over 2,800 units, representing a growth of over 30%. Autonomous mobility is one of our strategic pillars. We will focus on Europe with the 8-meter autonomous e-ATAK and on America with the 6-meter autonomous e-JEST. In the field of autonomous mobility, we have sought to remove the driver from the vehicle. Our goal is to start new driverless activities in Stavanger by the third quarter of 2026.” Towards the end of 2026, another electric vehicle will complete our product range. We continuously strengthen our presence by expanding our product range and accelerating our technological development.”

Playing a leading role in the transformation of public transport on a global scale within the vision of “Being Ahead in Mobility,” Karsan has concluded another successful year. Leveraging strong momentum in public transport by offering electric and autonomous vehicles, Karsan continues to strengthen its global presence with a fleet of vehicles operating in 27 countries. Karsan has significantly contributed to the transformation of public transport with over 2,100 electric vehicles, setting a higher target for 2026.

The CEO of Karsan, Okan Bas,, stated: “We increased our total revenue by 11% compared to the 296 million euros in 2024. Electric vehicles account for 220 million euros of this figure. Thus, we increased our revenue by 59 million euros in the electric vehicle sector. Our revenue related to electric vehicles, which saw significant growth of 37%, also represented 67% of our total revenue. Last year, we increased our export revenue by 43% to reach 197 million euros, and our EBITDA increased from 32 million euros in 2024 to 54 million euros last year.”
