A 28-year-old man was arrested this Tuesday, March 24 in the early afternoon in Manosque (Alpes-de-Haute-Provence) by the Brigade de répression du banditisme (BRB) as part of a preliminary investigation for armed robbery committed in Marseille. This information was revealed by our colleagues at BFMTV and confirmed by the Marseille prosecutor to Le Dauphiné libéré. According to the prosecutor, the suspect was placed in custody for aggravated robbery, committed with a weapon and in a group. These incidents date back to last September in the Phocaean city.

At the same time, the young man had also been the subject of searches since 2021 in relation to a judicial investigation opened “following the murder of the young Rayanne, 14 years old, in the Marronniers district in Marseille in 2021,” the prosecutor specifies. The latter is suspected of being involved in the death of the teenager, although his exact role in the events is not yet known.

In this case, the actor Dylan Robert, winner of the César for best young male talent in 2019 for his role in the film “Shéhérazade,” was indicted and remanded in custody in 2023 for “organized group murder” and “attempted murder,” suspected of driving the scooter carrying the shooter to Rayanne.

Furthermore, the suspect arrested in Manosque had been sentenced in March 2023 by the Assize Court of Gard to a 30-year prison term for extortion, theft, and armed violence. On the run, the young man had been sentenced in absentia. At the end of his custody this week, he is expected to be incarcerated to serve this previous sentence pronounced in his absence.
