AI Project, a remarkable technology in the national scientific and technological research competition.

On the afternoon of March 22, the closing ceremony and award ceremony of the national scientific and technological research competition for secondary school students (middle school and high school) for the academic year 2025-2026 took place at Phenikaa University.

The competition rewarded 145 winning projects, including 14 first prizes, 29 second prizes, 44 third prizes, and 58 consolation prizes.

With 13 projects in the running this year, the student delegation from schools under the Department of Education and Training of Hanoi (GD&T) once again excelled, winning 11 awards: 3 first prizes, 3 second prizes, 2 third prizes, and 3 consolation prizes.

This year’s competition, jointly organized by the Ministry of Education and Training and the People’s Committee of Hanoi, as well as by the Department of Education and Training of Hanoi and Phenikaa University, took place over three days from March 20 to March 22.

This was the first time that 100% of the departments of education and training participated, with the involvement of 17 units, including schools under the Ministry of Education and Training, universities, colleges, and academies, with 242 projects submitted, an increase of over 30 projects compared to the previous year.

During the evaluation of the competition quality, Dr. Thai Van Tai, Director of the General Education Department of the Ministry of Education and Training and Vice Chairman of the Steering Committee of the competition, highlighted the diversity and relevance of the projects to current issues, emphasizing innovation and digital transformation.

Mr. Thai Van Tai noted that the competition not only provides an academic platform but also helps guide research capabilities, stimulate innovation and creativity among students, and meet the requirements for developing high-quality human resources in the future.

President of the jury, Professor Pham Thanh Huy, emphasized the value of the competition in developing scientific thinking, fostering a passion for research, and contributing to the training of future workforce in the fields of sciences and technologies.

At the closing ceremony, Permanent Vice Minister of Education and Training, Pham Ngoc Thuong, praised the efforts and creativity of the students, highlighting the importance of student-led ideas implemented under the guidance of teachers, aligning with the spirit of the 2018 General Education Program that focuses on student-centered learning.

Recognizing the role of science and technology in national development, Vice Minister Pham Ngoc Thuong affirmed that today’s students are the driving force behind the creation and mastery of future technologies. He commended the students for their efforts and stated that all participants were winners for stepping out of their comfort zones and pursuing their research passion.

During the closing ceremony, Vice Minister Pham Ngoc Thuong officially launched the national scientific and technological research competition for secondary school students for the academic year 2026-2027, which will be organized by the Department of Education and Training of Dak Lak province.
