The BBC will set up its cameras at the Grande Réderie d’Amiens for its show Bargain Hunt on Sunday, April 19, 2026. When the Grande Réderie d’Amiens goes British! The English television channel BBC is looking for a pair of French bargain hunters to film its show Bargain Hunt on April 19, 2026 and face off against an English duo. The concept: to put two teams in competition at a flea market. Each team has a budget of 300 pounds to find the best treasures. The items purchased during the day are then resold at auctions a few weeks later. The goal is to make the most profit possible in resale.

“Amiens enjoys a great reputation among antique dealers”. The show rarely leaves the United Kingdom. The last time Bargain Hunt was filmed in France was over twenty years ago, during an episode recorded in Paris. The show’s presenter Natasha Raskin Sharp tells ICI Picardie that she is excited to be there, as cultural relations between France and the United Kingdom are experiencing a new momentum: “The Bayeux Tapestry is coming to the UK this summer, so we thought it would be fun to film in France. Amiens has a great reputation among antique dealers: the size, popularity, and history of the flea market are impressive. The city has a lot to offer, especially in the field of military history”.

Registrations are open until March 16. The channel is looking for a duo of French participants over the age of 18, English-speaking, living within a 90-minute drive of Amiens, and able to travel to Chichester in the UK on the morning of Friday, May 1 to attend the auction of the items bought during the show.

Interested individuals can sign up before March 16 via the casting site of the BBC.
