The Confederation of Small and Medium Enterprises (CPME) South presented the program for the second edition of the Made in PME South trade fair, which will take place on April 9 at the Parc Chanot in Marseille. This regional economic event, under the theme “Entrepreneuring today and building the future in the South Region,” aims to bring together companies, institutions, and economic actors to promote exchanges and development opportunities.

Scheduled from 8 am to 6:30 pm, the event is expected to attract over 250 exhibiting companies, 50 political and institutional personalities, and around thirty inspiring speakers. The program also includes 30 workshops, two sessions of XXL business speed meetings, and 20 PMEx meetings with entrepreneurs and opinion leaders.

Three keynote sessions to shed light on the economic future

The day will revolve around three major keynote sessions focused on economic issues and upcoming transformations. The first, titled “Olympic Games 2030: what opportunities for territories and companies?” will discuss the impact of the 2030 Winter Olympics on the regional economy. Renaud Muselier, President of the Regional Council of Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur, will address the prospects for SMEs in terms of infrastructure, services, and economic development. A second session will delve into artificial intelligence and its economic disruptions. Sociologist Yann Ferguson, scientific director of LaborIA, will analyze the transformations brought about by AI in the world of work and organizations, while presenting strategies to help business leaders anticipate these changes. Finally, an economic keynote session entitled “Winning strategies for a progressive territory” will bring together Mathieu Plane, Deputy Director of the Analysis and Forecast Department at the French Observatory of Economic Conjunctures (OFCE), Amir Reza-Tofighi, President of CPME, and Patricia Bauchery, a member of the executive board of the retail bank CEPAC. Discussions will focus on economic conditions, territorial growth dynamics, and funding and employment opportunities for SMEs.

A meeting to connect the regional ecosystem

For Alain Gargani, President of CPME South, the event aims to mobilize collective support around the region’s businesses. The goal is to connect economic actors and promote sustainable synergies, amidst economic and technological transitions. With this second edition, CPME South aims to make Made in PME South a driving force for the growth and transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises in the region. Registration is open on the event’s website.
