On Sunday around 5pm, two drunk men got into a fight and one of them stabbed the other in the chest, who died on the spot. The suspect who fled is actively being sought. An investigation has been opened by the Paris prosecutor’s office.
The presumed perpetrator is still on the run. A man was stabbed to death during an altercation that took place on Sunday, April 5th, in the 18th arrondissement of Paris, as reported by Paris Match from the Paris prosecutor’s office on Tuesday, April 7th. The incident occurred around 5pm on Jean-Cocteau street near the Porte des Poissonniers and the suspect is actively being sought.
According to the same source, witnesses claimed to have seen an altercation between two drunk men on Sunday. The victim lived in a shelter near the scene of the incident, while the suspect lived in a makeshift cabin, as stated by the Paris prosecutor.
Witnesses said the suspect stabbed the victim in the chest before throwing the weapon and fleeing. Despite prompt medical attention, the victim succumbed to his injuries on the spot. The Paris prosecutor’s office has opened a murder investigation. The case is being handled by the 2nd district of the Paris judicial police.
