The teaching of political theory is a central mission of the Hoang Van Thu Political School. In recent years, the school has implemented a comprehensive set of measures aimed at improving the quality of its initial and continuing education, thereby helping to train a team of leaders and managers at all levels equipped with the necessary political skills and qualities.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Quy, Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the school, stated: “By clearly defining the goal of training and supporting students not only by imparting theoretical knowledge but also by developing their practical spirit and professional skills, the school has focused on improving the quality of its teaching staff, innovating teaching methods, putting exchanges at the center, and enhancing the organization of practical field trips.”

The top priority is to improve the quality of the teaching staff. The institution is making every effort to enable teachers to continue their professional development. To date, six teachers are preparing for a doctorate and thirty-four have a master’s degree.

In order to offer teachers opportunities to enhance their professional and pedagogical skills and gain experience, the school prioritizes organizing professional activities with a strong practical dimension. Each year, it holds an internal competition rewarding the best teachers and regularly sends teachers to participate in national competitions. In 2025, six teachers received the distinction of excellence at the institutional level; one of them was awarded the title “Excellent” and another “Good” in the national competition.

In its pedagogical methods, the school favors active and proactive learning approaches, such as group discussions and rapid question-and-answer sessions, and encourages creative thinking and autonomy in learning. It also focuses on integrating information technologies in training management and organization, including digitizing all course materials and offering hybrid training (face-to-face and distance) tailored to field realities.

Mr. Luong Ngoc Hai, a student from the 47th specialist training promotion (2025), said: “During my training, I noticed many innovations in teaching methods. The course content was practical and relevant. Teachers not only imparted knowledge but also encouraged and guided students to develop their critical thinking, exchange ideas, and put their knowledge into practice. Thanks to this, we easily assimilated the subject matter and honed our professional skills.”

In addition to organizing training and further training courses as planned, the school proactively offers additional courses to quickly respond to local political needs. In 2025, it held a training course on the knowledge and skills necessary for managing Party sections activities, as well as another on the knowledge and skills needed for local governance at two levels. These training sessions enabled participants to master regulations and procedures and improve their organizational and task execution skills.

As of early 2026, the Hoang Van Thu Political School signed a cooperation agreement with the Party Committee of Bac Son commune. This initiative marks a new milestone in strengthening the links between the school and the grassroots in terms of training and professional development, thus contributing to strengthening the link between theory and practice.

According to Mr. Dinh Ma Linh, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Bac Son commune Party Committee, at the signing ceremony, the two parties committed to cooperating on the following points: cadre training and development; scientific research and synthesis of practical experiences; dissemination and teaching of political theory; organization of conferences, training sessions, and other related activities. This cooperation will help improve the quality of cadre training and development; strengthen the link between theoretical training and practice; and allow trainees to access concrete situations and gain experience.

Thanks to the harmonious implementation of various solutions, the Hoang Van Thu Political School has always successfully fulfilled its missions and objectives. From 2025 to the present, it has organized 28 training and development sessions for 1,907 students. The school is currently preparing for the opening of new sessions in line with its project.
