The École des hautes études en sciences sociales (EHESS) receives the digital innovation award at the 2026 Publishing Trophies for Politika, its open-access scientific dissemination platform dedicated to the humanities and social sciences. Launched nine years ago as part of LabEx Tepsis, it has established itself in the landscape of online academic publishing. The site publishes works by researchers from around the world in three forms: analytical texts, filmed interviews, and thematic workshops, at a rate of one to two pieces per week.

The themes, rooted in international current affairs, cover armed conflicts, political reconfigurations, field surveys in challenging environments, and analyses of the Trump administration’s methods towards certain American academic institutions.

360 degrees of knowledge

Multilingual, Politika welcomes both young researchers and established figures in the social sciences. Particular attention is paid to visual and audiovisual production, with a layout and artistic direction designed for a wide readership beyond the academic audience. The platform is supported by several partner institutions, including the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and the CNRS.
