According to our information, the President of the Republic, Emmanuel Macron, is visiting on Thursday, April 9th in Évian-les-Bains as part of a working meeting to prepare for the G7. The presidential helicopter was reportedly seen late Thursday morning flying over the port of Thonon while CRS convoys were deployed from the prefecture of Annecy.
Talked about for several weeks, this visit was initially rumored for Tuesday, March 3rd, before being postponed due to the international context.
Like the visit expected last month, this is not an official visit since no confirmation has been made by the Elysée regarding the presence of the head of state in Évian on Thursday, which is also not on Emmanuel Macron’s presidential agenda.
Just a reminder, the G7 summit, which will bring together representatives from the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, Italy, Japan, France, and the European Union, will take place in the spa town from June 15th to 17th.
