Micronora, the international trade fair for microtechnology and precision, which takes place in Besançon every two years and will be held from September 29 to October 2 this year, aims to now be held alternately in Besançon one year and in North America the next.

The focus is now on Brazil. Micronora will also be established in Montreal, Quebec, from September 14 to 16, 2027.

The idea is to export the trade fair format to allow the North American market to better understand its European counterpart and establish industrial connections. The first edition aims to be “modest”, covering an area of 5,000 m², and will host between 70 and 120 exhibitors. The organization hopes for half of the attendees to be European professionals (mostly regular attendees of the Besançon trade fair) and the other half to be North American stakeholders. The goal is to eventually reach the South American market, with Brazil as a key target.

The choice of Montreal is due to its position as the third aerospace city in the world, a sector that dominates among Micronora exhibitors and will also be a highlight this year in Besançon.
