Antoine Semenyo’s backheel seals FA Cup for Man City

Antoine Semenyo’s backheel was decisive as Manchester City beat Chelsea 1-0 in the FA Cup final to win Pep Guardiola’s 20th trophy in England.

Managerless Chelsea played well, but an excellent cross from Erling Haaland and an audacious flick by Semenyo made the difference.

Bernardo Silva and John Stones, both leaving this summer, celebrated the victory for Guardiola’s team.

Guardiola has now won 20 titles in 10 years as City manager, with a chance for a 21st next weekend.

Interim Chelsea boss Calum McFarlane couldn’t replicate Roberto Di Matteo’s success, as Chelsea fell short in the final.

The two teams had different recent form, with City on a strong run and Chelsea struggling in the league.

A win for Chelsea would have provided a bright spot in a tough season.
