The right and center candidate in Marseille, Martine Vassal, who came third in the first round, will not participate in the debate between the two rounds organized on France 2.
Here’s what you need to know:
Martine Vassal, the candidate for the mayor of Marseille, strongly criticized her absence from the debate between the two rounds which will take place on Thursday, March 19, on France 2. She denounced to ICI Provence a “two-speed democracy” and stated that “public service succumbs to the siren calls of the RN.” The debate will ultimately be between the incumbent mayor Benoît Payan and RN candidate Franck Allisio, the latter having refused the participation of the diverse right candidate, deemed unlikely to be elected. France Télévisions ensures that she will have equal speaking time in compliance with the rules, at another time. Follow our coverage.
