Philadelphia 76ers’ Tyrese Maxey to Miss Next Two Games Due to Finger Sprain
Philadelphia 76ers All-Star Tyrese Maxey will be sidelined for the next two games after suffering a sprain in his right fifth finger. The team announced the injury on Sunday and stated that Maxey will undergo further testing to determine the next steps for his return.
The injury occurred during Saturday’s game against the Hawks, where Maxey scored 31 points on 12-for-22 shooting, in addition to five assists and four steals. He left the game in the final minute after sustaining the injury.
Tyrese Maxey was seen on the ground after attempting a rebound, visibly in pain. He walked off the court with his hand concealed under his jersey.

Tyrese Maxey has been ruled out for the upcoming game against Cleveland and the following match against Memphis due to a right fifth finger sprain. The Sixers will conduct a consultation and additional testing to establish a treatment plan for Maxey.

Maxey, who earned his second All-Star nod this season and his first as a starter for the Eastern Conference, has been averaging 29.0 points and 6.7 assists per game. The Sixers are currently in 8th place in the Eastern Conference with a record of 34-29, trailing the Magic and Heat by a mere 0.5 games.
