Acworth Police reported that a man was fatally shot at a bar on Cowan Road near I-75 around 2:45 a.m. on Saturday.
The victim, who was also part of the bar’s security team, was involved in breaking up a fight when the shooting occurred.
A video shared on Instagram captured the lively atmosphere at the bar with a band playing and people dancing before the tragic incident.
One patron, Tyler Winters, who was seen drumming in the video, expressed shock at the turn of events, stating that there were no signs of trouble earlier in the evening.
The suspected gunman, identified as Daniel Di Vonne Parsons, has been arrested and charged with aggravated assault and felony murder.
Authorities have not released the name of the victim pending notification of their next of kin.
The bar had only recently opened its doors before this unfortunate incident.
