Claims and rumors about the health of US President Donald Trump once again caused a stir on social media over the weekend. On Sunday, “Trump is dead” trended after posts on X platform claimed the President had been hospitalized. However, the White House dismissed these as “insane conspiracy theories” from “deranged liberals.”
The speculation arose as the White House declared a “press lid,” indicating no public appearances would be made. Despite this being linked to a search-and-rescue operation in Iran (which was successful), many assumed it was due to a significant change in Trump’s health.
Addressing the rumors, the White House communication account stated, “Deranged liberals invent insane conspiracy theories when @POTUS goes 12 hours without speaking to the press.” They affirmed that Trump “literally never stops working.”
Amid ongoing speculation, Trump took to Truth Social to discuss the US military’s success in the Iran rescue mission. This is not the first time rumors about Trump’s health have circulated, as past incidents like a bruise on his hand led to speculation about his well-being.
Trump has previously attributed such incidents to medications he was taking and dismissed concerns about his health. Last year, rumors about swelling in his legs were addressed by the White House, citing a diagnosis of “chronic venous insufficiency.”
