Urban culture will take over the town hall square during a Mini Event designed to discover all the richness of hip-hop.

On Thursday June 12 from 8 p.m., the city center of Saint-Sulpice will vibrate to the rhythm of urban music. In front of the town hall, the Shuriken School association is preparing its very first “Mini Event”, an event open to all, intended to highlight hip-hop culture in all its forms. The objective stated by the association is clear: to deconstruct the clichés which still surround this culture and to show its artistic, educational and social dimension. For this first edition, the public will be able to discover several musical styles, attend an open stage, participate in a jam session and enjoy a friendly moment around different stands, a refreshment bar and food trucks. Through this event, Shuriken School wishes to create a meeting and sharing space accessible to all audiences. This Mini Event also marks the start of a more ambitious project led by the association, which intends to develop new cultural and artistic events in the region in the coming years. Created in September 2025, Shuriken School is an association specializing in the teaching of hip-hop and breakdance. It offers courses all year round as well as courses during school holidays, with the aim of making urban culture accessible to all levels. Beyond learning to dance, the association also wants to be a real place of life. Throughout the year, students participate in shows, demonstrations and local events in order to put their work into practice and represent urban culture to the general public. The association is chaired by Johanna Salin, surrounded by Océane Romero in the treasury department and Nanou Merle in the secretariat. Classes are taught by Max Daymier for breakdancing and Jason Lacroux for hip-hop.
