To liven up this evening, President Olivier Melesi and his team called on the group Lous Caps N’Aïgues, hailing from Bazas and the Bazadais region. With their black sunglasses and berets, these musicians and singers put their hearts into entertaining all audiences, all generations, with themes that celebrate Gascon culture and its way of life. Tapas, garbure, and other specialties will accompany this convivial atmosphere.

Lous Caps N’Aïgues is a Gascon musical group from Gironde on the border of the Landes and Lot-et-Garonne. Originally formed by a group of friends, former rugby players, who, after a trip to Ireland in the 2000s, created this friendly and festive group. Comprising nine performers, their musical style is akin to Gascon festive folk, blending traditional instruments (whistle, accordion, boha, percussion) with more modern instruments (electric and electroacoustic guitars, electric bass). They mainly sing in the Bazadais dialect, with lyrics touching on local life, festivals, rugby, gastronomy around the Bazas beef, love stories, and everyday life. The group is deeply rooted in the Occitan-Gascon traditions of southwestern France, participating in festivals, local celebrations, and cultural events where Gascon language and culture are celebrated.
