“Louisabelle” on the trawler Nocca

The trawler Nocca moored at Quai Général-Durand on the Marine offers, Sunday, March 8th, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., a musical afternoon with “Louisabelle” for a guitar duo performing songs by Georges Brassens. A chance to share and sing together! Free participation.

Women’s Rights Weekend

During Women’s Rights Weekend, the City is combining awareness actions, artistic initiatives, and public information sessions. On Sunday, March 8th: from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on the town hall square, a theatrical performance by the Suffragettes.
All weekend, bridges and certain municipal buildings will be illuminated in purple.

SCREENING

The best of Latin cinema and Quais des Docs

The associations Salsa and Quais des Docs are offering, on Sunday, March 8th at 7 p.m. at the cinema Le Nouveau Palace “Tratado de invisibilidad,” a Mexican film by Luciana Kaplan, as part of the Day of Struggle for Women’s Rights. The story of 2 women cleaning public spaces in the capital.

“The Spring of Poets” at La Baleine Rouge

For its 3rd edition, La Baleine Rouge at 896, Blvd de Verdun celebrates “The Spring of Poets” (La prima dels Poëtas) until Tuesday, March 31st, Trobarods & Trobairitz, a festival of live poetry with concerts, performances, poetry readings, writing workshops, singing workshops, and more.

Exhibition “Recent Works” by Daniel Dezeuze at the Paul Valéry Museum

The Paul Valéry Museum at 148, Rue François-Desnoyer is hosting until Sunday, March 8th, an exhibition of the recent works by Daniel Dezeuze. Through simple and diverse materials, from recycled objects to assemblies of scraps, the artist renews objects and creates intriguing works. Open from Tuesday to Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., with ticket prices of €5.30 and €9.90.

Exhibition “Seas/Oceans” at the Museum of the Sea

The Museum of the Sea at 1, Rue Jean-Vilar is showcasing until Sunday, March 15th, the exhibition “Seas/Oceans” by Maïté Soler. The artist presents a series of photos taken in the summer of 2014 at the “Creixell” campsite in Tarragona, echoing the sea of Sète. The exhibition also features poetic readings related to the theme. Free entry every day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (closed on Tuesdays).

“Exquisite Autopsy” exhibition at the Quarter-Haut chapel

The Quarter-Haut chapel on Rue Borne is hosting the exhibition “Exquisite Autopsy” by the artists Sarah Guiraudon and Philippe Pagès-Lloberas until March 13th. An exhibition in two voices, like a sensitive dissection of the body, individual, collective, and symbolic, designed for the chapel. Free entry, open every day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., except on Tuesdays.
