Tonight (Sunday, March 1st) and in recent days, the iconic location has been transformed into an open-air cultural stage, featuring readings, artistic workshops, musical performances, and highlighting artisanal skills from various provinces of the country.
Carrefour vivant des traditions vietnamiennes
The program showcases traditional Vietnamese arts, including performances of Hat bội, a form of sung and danced theater, as well as Don ca tai tu, a traditional music from southern Vietnam. The audience can also take part in popular games, discover artisanal creations, or explore spaces dedicated to local gastronomy.
The event attracts a diverse audience, confirming the organizers’ commitment to fostering dialogue between culture, contemporary creation, and community traditions.
Vibrating cultural heritage at nightfall
Established ten years ago, Rue des Livres has become a cultural pillar in the metropolis. Now classified as one of the city’s top one hundred must-visit destinations, it has evolved from an open-air bookstore to, at nightfall, a space for meeting, exchange, and a means for international visitors to delve deeper into Vietnamese culture.
This model of nocturnal celebration illustrates Ho Chi Minh City’s ambition to position itself as a creative, dynamic metropolis deeply connected to its cultural identity.
