A Connecticut man has been charged with the murder of an active-duty Bridgeport firefighter in a shooting, according to police. Stratford Police arrested Jabari Bush after finding Terrence Cramer with a gunshot wound on Feeley Street on March 28. Cramer, a resident of Bridgeport, was pronounced dead shortly after paramedics arrived. The 41-year-old had been a member of the Bridgeport Fire Department for nearly a decade.
In a Facebook post, the department paid tribute to Cramer’s service, describing him as dedicated and committed to protecting others. Mayor Joe Ganim also expressed his condolences, highlighting Cramer’s role as a valued member of the fire department and a public servant.
Bush, also 41, was apprehended after a brief chase in Derby 15 hours after Cramer was found injured. He faces charges of murder, home invasion, and criminal possession of a firearm. Stratford Police received assistance from several other law enforcement agencies during the investigation.
