Marquees at the foot of the centuries-old fort, traveling theater, open-air shows… for thirty years, the Villeneuve en Sène festival has stood out alongside the superlative Avignon Festival. Enter the magic from July 8 to 21…
Next to the joyful, wild and torrid excitement of the streets of Avignon where the largest theater festival in the world offers thousands of shows (in and out) and attracts more than a million and a half visitors, just on the other side of the Rhône, so near and so far At the same time as the frenetic heat of the city, the Villeneuve en Scène traveling theater festival has established itself as a slow festival in the countryside.

There, in a magnificent green setting and under the deafening sound of cicadas, this field festival has been setting up its marquees and its open-air shows for thirty years. A unique theatrical and festive event where theater rubs shoulders with circus, dance, singing and street arts. Here, we are “spec-actor”, as close as possible to the artists always ready to share, in a relaxed fairground atmosphere.
