Singer, songwriter, composer, and poet, Yanowski is a multifaceted artist. In the year 2000, he created Le Cirque des Mirages with pianist Fred Parker (whom he met on a trip to NY), a duo of expressionist songs that evolves in a mysterious and poetic universe. Nonconformist and disconcerting, lyrical and fantastic, each song takes the form of a story, a mini opera, or even an oratorio, leading the listener into the depths of the human unconscious. Quickly, the duo experienced immediate success and embarked on tours in all French-speaking countries (over one thousand five hundred in twenty years) while also producing numerous shows and music albums.

In addition to Le Cirque des Mirages, Yanowski develops multiple personal projects. La passe interdite, a sultry cabaret act for which he is the author and composer, a true journey between tango and Slavic music, Zorbalov and the magical organ, a fairy tale intended for young audiences and an original creation of the Orchestre National de Radio France, as well as Vagabond des mers, a fantastic tale highly inspired by the imagination of Edgar Poe, a marine epic staged by Sarkis Tcheumlekdjian. An enthusiast of music hall, he performs as a singer and actor in the Cabaret Extraordinaire, and its second part Plein feu with many talented artists (Fred Parker, Maria Dolorès, Christian Tod, Immo, Heejin Diamond) under the artistic direction of Armelle Hedin.

Yanowski is also invited as a narrator by numerous companies and orchestras (The Amazing Keystone Big Band, quatuor Zaïde, l’Orchestre de Liège, Jean-François Zygel) where he can make the most of his acting skills.

Of Hispanic origin, Yanowski has been developing a career as a tango singer for several years. He has performed the great pieces of the Argentine repertoire at the Cité du Châtelet Smoking Joëphine theater, with artists such as Gustavo Beytelmann (arranger of his solo album), Bertrand Cervera (violinist of L’Orchestre National de France), the Arties family, and in a duo with David Venitucci. When not on stage, Yanowski takes up his pen as a songwriter to fulfill various orders, composing tailor-made cabaret acts for eclectic personalities such as Sandrine Clémenceon, Annick Cizaruk, and Nawel Dombrowski. He is also known as a playwright (Rats) and as a composer and librettist of musical comedy (Adèle Berry).

But then, you might ask, what does Yanowski do when he is not composing or performing on stage? He returns to the flame that has driven him since his childhood and has never left him, poetry. This mere poetry, which, to quote René Char, is in all clear waters the one that lingers the least on the reflections of its bridges. (Yanowski, Crimes d’orties blanches, Édition Le dilettante).
