President Bola Tinubu has praised the renowned investigative journalist, Babajide Kolade-Otitoju (BKO), on his 60th birthday. Babajide, who celebrated his milestone on March 28, was commended for his citizen-focused journalism, professionalism, integrity, courage, and unwavering commitment to holding power accountable. He began his career at the Democrat newspaper in Kaduna in 1991 before joining TheNews Group in February 1993. His bold reporting in Kano, specifically on a religious-motivated killing, earned him recognition.
Throughout his career, Otitoju has distinguished himself, overseeing notable publications such as PMNEWS and The NEWS magazine. Currently, he serves as the Director of News at Television Continental and hosts the popular current affairs program “Journalists Hangout.”
President Tinubu praised Babajide Otitoju as a journalist of immense talent and courage, emphasizing his fearless approach to speaking truth to power.
