This Friday, June 19, 2026, the TF1 channel broadcast the highly anticipated semi-final of the ninth season of Mask Singer. Presented by Camille Combal, this decisive evening made it possible to decide between the last participants still in the running, while revealing the identity of two new personalities forced to leave the competition at the gates of the final.

For several weeks, the public and the jury of investigators have carefully followed the vocal performances of these completely hidden celebrities. This year, the panel responsible for deciphering the clues is made up of Michaël Youn, Kev Adams, Chantal Ladesou and Laurent Ruquier. As a reminder, during the previous stage of the quarter-finals placed under the theme of superheroes, the Clown’s journey had stopped. His unmasking then allowed viewers to discover the actor Laurent Gamelon.

For this semi-final, five costumes still hoped to get their ticket to the final stage: the Donkey, the Bouquet, the Owl, the Chick and the Venetian. In order to support regular investigators in this crucial phase, production called on a mystery investigator. Occasionally integrated into the jury and hidden under an imposing Gorilla costume, his mission was to provide a fresh perspective on the vocal performances and to advance the investigations thanks to new clues. But it was a prank since it was ultimately Michaël Youn, already an investigator on the show, who was hiding under this costume!

During this intense evening, the combined votes of the public present on stage and the investigators finally sealed the fate of two participants. It was the Venetian and the Owl who received the fewest votes and who had to leave the adventure one step from the goal. By removing their masks at the end of the show, the candidates officially revealed their identities.

The Venetian was the singer and impersonator Sarah Schwab, while the Owl was the Belgian artist Plastic Bertrand, known for his hit It’s okay for me and for having sold more than 20 million records worldwide! This double elimination logically made it possible to designate those qualified for the last bonus of the season. Next week, the title of big winner will be decided between the three finalists: Donkey, Bouquet and Chick!
