More than 3000 rallies are planned, following the call of the protest movement “No Kings” to take to the streets to oppose the American president.
“Masked police sowing terror,” “catastrophic war,” abusive exercise of power: from New York to Alaska, millions of Americans are expected to gather in processions across the United States on Saturday to protest against Donald Trump. This is the third time in less than a year that America has been called upon to take to the streets by a coalition of associations united around the rallying cry “No Kings,” which has emerged as the most important protest movement since his return to the White House.
The first, held in June 2025 – on the 79th birthday of the American president and a military parade in Washington – brought together millions of people from one end of the country to the other. The second, in October, brought together seven million, according to organizers. Their aim is to mobilize even more massively on Saturday, as Donald Trump’s approval rating is at its lowest, around 40%, with the perspective of the midterm elections in November.
Bruce Springsteen, the American rock legend and staunch critic of the American president, is expected to attend with his song “Streets of Minneapolis,” written and recorded in 24 hours in tribute to two Americans shot dead by federal agents on the street during massive immigration police operations, Renee Good and Alex Pretti.
“Masked secret police sowing terror”
“The Minnesota residents (where Minneapolis is located, ed) have already proven that they are ready to defend democracy in -20°C, so Saturday will be a piece of cake!” the local organizers said. 80-year-old senator Bernie Sanders, a figure of the American left, is also announced. “Masked secret police sowing terror in our communities. Illegal and catastrophic war that endangers us and drives up our expenses. Attacks on our freedom of expression and our civil rights. Costs that push families to the brink. Trump wants to govern us like a tyrant,” the collective “No Kings” expressed indignation.
