Two gatherings, left-wing and associative, are planned for this Saturday, June 20 at the Castres theater to “defend creative freedom” and “fight against censorship” after the deprogramming of the play “Passport” by the RN municipality.

Following the cancellation of the cultural season of the play “Passport” by Alexis Michalik by the RN municipality of Castres, two gatherings are organized this Saturday, June 20 in front of the theater to denounce this “censorship”.
The first is proposed by left-wing opposition elected officials from the “Castres en commun” group from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. to “make the defense of culture a moment of citizen sharing”.

“The main thing is to know how to put aside some of our differences, and even some of our differences, when it comes to defending what unites us. Beyond political sensitivities, activist affiliations, backgrounds or convictions of each person, we believe that there are common goods which deserve to be defended together “Free culture is part of it”, indicates Castres en commun, which wants to “make this moment a place of meeting, sharing and republican fraternity” by inviting “all the democratic and republican forces of our city”.
