This transversal analysis of the cultural field is based on numerous data from statistical and administrative sources.
Structured in seven large chapters, the work presents the morphology of culture (economic weight, businesses and cultural employment, etc.) and its financing, provides information on the representations and cultural practices of the French and describes the three major branches of culture: heritage, artistic creation, media and cultural industries.
This year, the book is enriched with a new sheet on the artist-authors.
