A meeting that will change two lives
This dramatic comedy depicts the improbable meeting between Vincent, a successful entrepreneur at the head of a major dating site, and Pierre, a man living as a hermit, removed from the modern world, in the heart of the mountain. Their destiny changes when a car breakdown forces Vincent to interrupt his frantic race and accept the hospitality of this solitary hermit.
Two visions of the world face to face
Everything contrasts the two men: one evolves in the hectic world of business, the other has chosen a simple existence, as close as possible to nature. However, their forced cohabitation will call into question their certainties and lead them to question their respective life choices. Are they really happy living like this?
A reflection on happiness and simplicity
Carried by the landscapes of the Massif Central and the Alps, Simple Things offers a sensitive reflection on the contemporary rhythm of life, friendship and the quest for happiness. An accessible and warm film, ideal for a summer evening under the stars.
