On Sunday, June 21, 2026, from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., Boulevard Albert 1er in Saint-Nazaire will host one of the most popular events of the Music Festival on the Loire coast: “Tout Saint-Nazaire Chante”, an ephemeral choir bringing together more than 800 singers, on the initiative of the Nazaire association Kaléïdos Songs.

A gathering on the seafront

The gathering will be held on the seafront, between the La Barak-k and La Bronzette bars, with free access and without reservation. Accessible to people with motor or mental disabilities, the event is open to all audiences, from beginners to experienced choristers, under the direction of Jacques Le Bail, choir director and founder of Kaléïdos Songs.

The Kaléïdos Songs choir, created in September 2005, now has around thirty permanent choristers. Every year for the Fête de la Musique, it opens its ranks wide to form this ephemeral formation around a repertoire of French songs known to the general public. A booklet of the 2026 songs will be distributed on site and can be downloaded in advance via the association’s website (kaleidos-songs.org).

One last public rehearsal Tuesday June 16

A final public rehearsal is open to anyone wishing to join the choir or simply lead the public to sing: Tuesday June 16 from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., Salle Kerfaouet, 12b rue des Pinsons (Villès-Martin district), in Saint-Nazaire.

The spirit of the event, claimed since its creation, is to reconnect with the authenticity and the original spirit of the Fête de la Musique: singing together in the public space, without barriers of level or style.

Jacques Le Bail, who has directed and harmonized the repertoires since the beginnings of the association in 2005, has built over the years an accessible method allowing hundreds of participants with no choral practice to be brought on board in just a few rehearsals. The result, every June 21, is as much a participatory concert as a moment of social cohesion in the open air.

Free entry. Boulevard Albert 1er, 44600 Saint-Nazaire.
