100 years of the Sainte-Germaine-de-Pibrac church
Perhaps also, why not, organize something for the 100 years of the Sainte-Germaine-de-Pibrac church, suggested the mayor, Georges Botella, before announcing that a book on the subject is in preparation, by Jean-Luc Guillet, the author of the work on the 120 years of the Corniche d’or. The work should be available within a fortnight.
What about a finance commission? « Sa création avait été évoquée » recalls Frédérique Liagre (A new course for Théoule). “I think we’ll work on it, probably by the end of the year.”retorted the mayor, even if the municipal councilors did not really seem to have this opinion: “Or not, lance Emmanuel Blanc. It’s optional. HAS” « As a finance manager, I am not for “a renchéri Florence Chabanis. “On Verra”finally concluded the mayor.
Slight increases in tourist taxes
For the last three years, the tourist tax has allowed the city to collect, on average, 270,000 euros per year, which is allocated to financing operations promoting tourist development, since “It’s she who keeps the tourist office alive, I indicated Geroges Bottle. In 2015, we were at 51,000 euros; in 2025, we will reach almost 300,000 euros. And the biggest contributors are digital platforms, like Airbnb and Booking.”with 170,000 euros in tourist taxes collected, compared to 130,000 euros for the three 5-star establishments.
The council decided, unanimously, to increase this tourist tax from January 1, 2027. “We are aligning our tourist taxes, which have not been reassessed for two years, with neighboring municipalities, mainly Cannes and Mandelieu.”explained George Botella. That of 5-star hotels, tourist residences and furnished accommodation therefore increases from 4.02 to 6.57 euros; from 2.95 to 3.48 euros for 4 stars; from 2.01 to 2.28 euros for 3 stars, etc.
