Missiles fired in the Iranian night, Wednesday June 10: Tehran attacks American bases in the Middle East. In Manama (Bahrain), as shown in a video surveillance image, the US 5th Fleet was targeted, according to the regime. The Revolutionary Guards attacked Bahrain, but also Kuwait and Jordan, claiming to have hit an American base. Iranian state television relayed a message of justification from the authorities. “Our powerful armed forces will not let any attack or threat go unanswered. Leave our region if you want to be safe.” a menacé Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Tehran will respond blow for blow. For the Mullahs’ regime, these missile launches are a response to American attacks, of 20 targets in three waves. The island of Qeshm, crucial for oil exports, but also communication centers in southern Iran, close to the Strait of Hormuz, still blocked. The Americans present these strikes as self-defense. “This mission constitutes a proportionate response to unjustified Iranian aggression“, assured CENTCOM, the command of the American army.

The Iranian aggression, for the Americans, took place on Monday: an Apache helicopter was shot down by Iran. The crew was rescued, as confirmed by the American president : “The pilots are fine, no one is injured.” On the 103rd day of war, the military situation remains explosive between Washington and Tehran.
