Friday June 12, the festival committee and the Galié municipal reading point will offer an evening “My rock poets”. Starting out on the bumpy roads of live performance at a very young age, Elrick Fabre-Maigné rubbed shoulders with Jim Morrison of the Doors, Paco Ibanez, Lluis Llach… Traveling companion of Magma and Léo Ferré, he learned from the latter that music is the best companion for getting big words across. However, those who love rock-and-roll are sometimes unaware that the texts hidden under the notes are often real poems: “rock-and-roll is also a state of mind! And poetry translates this very well through the ages. When you are skinned alive, it is easier, without doubt, to say it with a guitar, in rhythm and or, in rhyme”. For a complete immersion in this universe, invite you to come to the community hall from 6:30 p.m. where excerpts from Lydie Salvayre’s Hymn, a magnificent text on Jimi Hendrix, will be read. Quiz based on photos by Alain Dister (Rock & Folk) then shared meal at a Spanish inn at 8 p.m. At 9 p.m., a poetic concert will alternate music, testimony, poems in French slammed or sung by Elrick Fabre-Maigné. At his side, Serge Faubert who put his guitar and his talents as a composer and arranger at the service of numerous artists such as Jean-Patrick Capdevielle, Nino Ferrer.
Free entry and essential participation.
