While many across the Gulf Coast felt tremors from the magnitude 6.1 earthquake reported Monday afternoon off the west coast of Cuba, it’s unlikely to feel aftershocks today.

Your Gulf Coast Weather Most Accurate Forecast has even higher storm chances on tap for Wednesday as more moisture works into the Gulf Coast. An east wind will drive many storms toward the coast for the afternoon bringing heavy rain, lightning and gusty winds.

The tropics remain quiet with no development expected over the next week.
