The Cultural Association of Frontignan de Comminges and the village town hall are preparing the Book Fair sponsored by Ariège writer Georges-Patrick Gleizes, and scheduled for Sunday July 19, 2026. Among the 20 authors announced, Patrick de Meerleer.

Patrick De Meerleer devotes himself to literature and writing as much as to the mountains and botany.

After a professional life dedicated to trees and forests, he likes to place his characters in the heart of nature. His short stories and novels are part of a deliberate approach, that of restoring the nobility and wealth of the rural world.

Born in Bourbonnais and of multiple ancestry, genealogy is also part of his Ingres violins. His multi-award-winning historical novel “The Long Silence of Veronica” accompanies the quest for the origins and identity of its characters.

He is equally passionate about painting and music.

Installed within reach of the Pyrenees, Patrick De Meerleer, a man of culture, devotes himself to building a literary work where beautiful places are left not only to the rural world and nature, but also to the quest for identity, and to art.
