Emilia Clarke reestablishes the truth about the salaries of the actors of Game of Thrones of which she was the star between 2011 and 2019, judging the supposed earnings to be exaggerated.
An overestimated amount. During a recent interview with Variety, Emilia Clark returned to the rumors surrounding the supposed salaries of the main actors of “Game of Thrones”.
According to the 39-year-old actress, the machine was largely carried away with the amount that the series brought in for its performers. She assured that her co-stars and herself had never earned $300,000 per episode, or around 257,000 euros, as rumor suggested, judging this amount to be largely exaggerated.
“We didn’t earn as much,” underlined the one who played the role of Daenerys Targaryen for eight seasons. “Can you imagine? I would have driven a Porsche!”, she continued without revealing the amount she received for her performance in the phenomenon series.
A salary which, however, allowed him to pay his parents’ mortgage, reports Variety.Â
An update which comes seven years after the broadcast of the eighth and final season. For the record, Emilia Clarke landed the role of Daenerys Targaryen at the age of 24, propelling her career to the forefront.
If the series allowed her to experience success, this period was also punctuated by darker episodes for the actress. She suffered a brain hemorrhage shortly after the end of filming on the first season, requiring an operation, before suffering a second stroke two years later.Â
