The Musicales de Bastia continue until June 7 at the Alb’Oru ​​cultural center. The meeting, which focuses on musical discovery, new French scenes and more intimate formats, opened with a concert by Flore Benguigui. The rest of the program for this 38th edition: on Friday 5, the islanders SH404, Nofutal, Shangri-La and Iélén before the show by Franco-American composer Yan Wagner. Saturday 6, Carla Paoli will open for the singer Solann. The festival also hosts several off-site concerts as well as a festival village dedicated to meetings and artistic discovery.

CASTAGNICCIA-CASINCA – Heritage and culture with the Orizonti festival

The 5th edition of the Orizonti Festival takes place on June 5, 6 and 7 in Piedicroce, Pie-d’Orezza and Rapaggio. A traveling festival which allows you to discover Castagnicica-Casinca differently, through the villages with cultural hikes, meetings around a round table or conferences but also workshops for children and crafts. Concerts and musical events will also punctuate this festive and heritage weekend: the Orizonte group on Friday 5, Jean-Charles Papi on Saturday 6 and Guest Band on Sunday 7 at the end of the festival. Free and open to all.

TAGLIO-ISOLACCIO – Delphine Horvilleur invited from Parc Galea

On the program for this Sunday, June 7. at Parc Galea: at 11 a.m.: “AI, man versus machine” a first conference in partnership with the CDC and Corsica Fibra, by the philosopher and computer scientist Jean-Gabriel Ganascia (free entry).

At 2 p.m.: “Starthèse: 20 doctoral students from Corsica, Nice and Toulon compete around the entrepreneurial value of their thesis!”

At 3 p.m., the major exceptional conference will welcome the philosopher, writer and female rabbi Delphine Horvilleur around the question “What does it mean to believe?”.

At the same time from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.: Neolithic pottery workshop and seed balls for children. From 12 p.m.: picnic and food truck in the park gardens.

CALVI – Poetic rock with Bertrand Belin

Singer Bertrand Belin will present his 8th album “Watt†on Saturday June 6 at the Calvi-Balagne concert hall at 9 p.m. Between minimal rock, twilight blues and poetic song, Belin confirms its unique position in the French musical landscape. A chance to see on stage this artist who chose this island stop in the middle of a tour of more than 70 dates including 3 Parisian Cigales already sold out.

MONTICELLO – Literary landscapes at Saleccia Park

On Sunday June 7, the “Literary Landscapes” day organized by the publishing house Casa di Arena, offers meetings, readings, conferences, poetic walks, exhibition and book stand around several authors and artists. The morning begins at 10:10 a.m. with the presentation of the day and the participating structures, followed by interviews with authors and a conference devoted to the poet René Char.

Several works are highlighted through discussions with their authors (Norbert Paganelli, Marianghjula Antonetti-Orsoni, Martin Ryeland, Henri Dayssol). After a lunch break (12:30 p.m. – 2 p.m.), the program resumes with other author interviews (Gilles Zerlini and Toni Casalonga, André Brunini, Christian Moncho, Izabella Belcarz, Christian Péri). The afternoon continues with a poetic walk in the park (4 p.m. – 5 p.m.), then a coffee break and public debate, accompanied by a book stand and signing sessions until the end of the day.

Friday June 5 from 6:30 p.m., the Church of the Annonciation will vibrate to support the fight against cancer and the La Marie-Do association. The evening will be orchestrated by the polyphonic group A Ricuccata and by the academic choir, an ensemble of around twenty first and second level teachers from the Academy of Corsica. It was created three years ago and has a repertoire varied, from variety to classic songs.
