Loana, the first reality TV star in France to win “Loft Story” in 2001, has passed away after years of battling her inner demons. While the exact cause of her death is still unknown, it had been several weeks since Loana had last been heard from. Concerned by her lack of response to calls, her loved ones contacted the police, who found her lifeless body in her apartment in Nice on Wednesday, March 25th, around 6 pm.
Tributes are pouring in from Steevy Boulay, Benjamin Castaldi, and Afida Turner, as Loana’s death marks the culmination of a tragic life of a woman who sought love but never quite found stability. One of her biggest regrets was her strained relationship with her daughter Mindy, who no longer wanted to be in contact with her.
Despite her deep desire to be a mother, Loana faced years of rejection from Mindy. Feeling like an outcast, Loana eventually made the drastic decision to protect herself by deleting Mindy’s phone number and cutting off contact. This abrupt action was her way of stopping the constant rejection and pain of not being wanted.
Underneath this apparent resignation, however, was a motherly love that remained intact despite the distance and years apart. Although she erased Mindy’s number, Loana never erased her from her heart. This unconditional love was exemplified by her final wish to be buried with a photo of Mindy, a famous picture of them together that captured a moment of motherly protection. Until her last breath, Mindy remained Loana’s greatest regret but also her brightest light.
