Bar-le-Duc will welcome artists from France, Belgium, Italy, England and the United States for four days as part of the new edition of Bar’EnVoix. The festival will offer several concerts, two free performances, a masterclass as well as friendly activities around a tavern and after-parties with the artists. Among the highlights announced is the arrival of the American group Six Appeal, which will make Bar-le-Duc its only French date. The choice of the Marbeaumont castle as the new host site should make it possible to increase the reception capacity of the festival and strengthen its attractiveness among visitors.
Cultural festivals, an economic lever for the territories
On a national scale, cultural festivals occupy an increasing place in the attractiveness strategies of communities. These events generate economic benefits for the hotel industry, restaurants, shops and tourist activities. The presence of international artists also contributes to strengthening the visibility of the territories and attracting an external audience. In a context of competition between destinations, cultural events thus become tools for local development and enhancement of the image of medium-sized towns.
