This weekend of May 30 and 31, the prestigious Hyères M11 International Tournament took place, a benchmark competition which brings together many of the best doubles in France each year.
The Gruissan club has already enjoyed great success there in the past. Players like Hélène Cazaute, Alisée Camberabero, Romane Ruiz in 2006 and 2007 then Estelle Schneider and even Lena Rey in 2022 distinguished themselves there and returned with glory. The 2026 vintage of the VCG achieved this performance again by winning the tournament with authority.
The young players of the club imposed themselves by winning all of their matches, without conceding a single set, knowing that they faced several qualified teams, like them, for the final phases of the Coupe de France, which will take place in Venelles on Friday June 12, Saturday June 13 and Sunday June 14.
In the final, they dominated a great team from Cannet-Rocheville with a clear score of 2 sets to 0.
Another reason for satisfaction: Clélia Prax was elected in the dream team of the tournament, rewarding the three best players in the competition.
