The students of the Defense class of the Sainte-Famille de Moissac college had an exceptional experience in Paris on the occasion of the award ceremony for the Youth Comic Stripe Prize, organized by the Ministry of the Armed Forces at the prestigious Val-de-Grâce. Accompanied by their advisor, Alain Reinaldos, as well as Sandrine Crabol, deputy principal of the college, the students Chloé, Léo, Océane, Lise, Eline, Louane, Naïs and Loris proudly represented their establishment during this ceremony chaired by Alice Rufo, Minister Delegate to the Minister of the Armed Forces and Veterans Affairs.
After a remarkable speech by student Chloé Crabol, the prize was awarded to the comic strip “Le Petit Théâtre des Opérations”. A strong and moving moment for the middle school students, passionate about the work of memory and the civic values carried by their Defense class.
At the end of the ceremony, Alain Reinaldos also presented the prize for the Defense of the Holy Family class to the author and designer of the work, in a warm and friendly atmosphere. This evening full of emotions continued with a morning of discovery in the capital. In just a few hours, the students were able to admire several emblematic places in Paris: the Place de la Bastille, the Notre-Dame square, the Trocadéro and its breathtaking view of the Eiffel Tower, without forgetting the Champs-Élysées with an unmissable passage in front of the tomb of the Unknown Soldier under the Arc de Triomphe.
The return to Moissac was, however, a little more complicated. Due to the severe heat that affected the country, a train was canceled, causing almost three and a half hours of delay for the small group. Despite this eventful end to the trip, the students will keep unforgettable memories of this Parisian adventure mixing memory, culture and citizenship.
