Dua Lipa and Callum Turner have taken a new step in their love story. The couple married this Sunday, May 31, in a civil ceremony organized in the greatest secrecy at the Old Marylebone Town Hall, in London, surrounded by a restricted circle of close friends and family members.
There is nothing trivial about the place. A true institution for British celebrity weddings, this city hotel notably hosted the unions of Paul McCartney and Linda Eastman in 1969, of Ringo Starr and Barbara Bach in 1981, and of Liam Gallagher, who celebrated two of his marriages there. A bride in Schiaparelli couture
If the festivities were deliberately discreet, the bride and groom’s outfits were no less sophisticated. For the occasion, Dua Lipa abandoned the traditional wedding dress in favor of a tailor-made couture ensemble signed Schiaparelli. Designed by artistic director Daniel Roseberry, the look consisted of a structured ivory blazer with gold buttons and a matching asymmetrical skirt. The singer completed her silhouette with a large hat created by milliner Stephen Jones, white gloves and a pair of Christian Louboutin pumps.
This isn’t the first collaboration between the star of Future Nostalgia and Daniel Roseberry. This union is the culmination of a relationship that the couple has always protected from the spotlight. The engagement was revealed last year by Dua Lipa herself, during her cover interview forBritish VogueÂ: “Yes, we are engaged. It’s very exciting. This decision to grow old together, to build a life together and to be best friends forever is a truly special feeling,” the artist confided.
