Meeting on Friday May 29 under the chairmanship of François Vannson, the permanent commission of the Vosges Departmental Council validated several decisions concerning the local economy, agriculture, culture, sport, solidarity and regional planning.

Confirmed support for the agricultural world

The Vosges Department confirms its commitment to farmers. A framework agreement with the Chamber of Agriculture was approved, with a contribution of 62,000 euros.

The announced objective is to “support farms in the face of ongoing transitions”, to support local sectors and to preserve resources, particularly water. The Department also wishes to continue promoting Vosges production, in particular with the “Je Vois la Vie en Vosges Terroir” brand.

Two economic projects supported

On the economic side, two investment projects benefit from direct support from the Department, for a total amount of 60,000 euros.

Among these projects is the creation of a new bakery in Chantraine. This aid aims to support local economic activity and local services in the territories.

281,200 euros for the live show

Culture remains an important axis of departmental action. The Departmental Council is mobilizing 281,200 euros to support creation in live performance.

Several types of projects are involved, such as local companies, artistic residencies or even cultural seasons. The stated objective is to “maintain an artistic presence throughout the territory” and to promote access to culture for all audiences.

More than 360,000 euros for sports associations

The Department also intervenes in favor of sport. Nearly 300 associations have submitted a request to renew or acquire equipment.

In total, 360,973 euros have been mobilized, with particular attention paid to disabled sports practices. This envelope should make it possible to meet the needs of clubs and support sports practice in the Vosges.

Aid against energy poverty

Another priority put forward is the fight against energy poverty. Four Vosges households will benefit from financial support to undertake renovation work in their homes.

The total amount of aid granted reaches 16,950 euros. This support should help improve the thermal comfort of homes and reduce energy bills.

Interventions as close as possible to the territory

Through these decisions, the Department continues its interventions on concrete subjects, “as close as possible to the needs of the territory”. Agriculture, economy, culture, sport and energy renovation are among the areas concerned by this permanent commission of May 29.
