The Remparts team is being completed little by little. We now know the six defenders who will make it up in 2026-2027, since the club announced this Tuesday the extension of Andréa Palat and the arrival of Antoine Desrochers.

The first will experience its fourth season in Tours. Aged 26, Andréa Palat arrived from Marseille, but it was with the Remparts that he really revealed himself, becoming assistant captain last season. This was also his best from a statistical point of view, with 9 assists in the regular season, then 2 goals and 6 assists in the play-offs. “He is establishing himself more and more, he also knows that he must take a step forward, I think, to become a dominant playerâ€underlines Stéphane Gros, the Touraine coach.

Antoine Desrochers to “replace Mark Shroyer”

Antoine Desrochers will live his first season outside his native country, Canada. He comes from the USports University Championship, like Liam Whittaker and Liam Kindree.“He is very mobile, very offensive. He’s a good playmaker. That’s what I was looking for to replace Mark Shroyer.”indicates Stéphane Gros. With the University of Ontario team, the Quebecer had a very good 2024-2025 season (5 goals and 18 assists in 30 matches), before being slowed down by an injury during the last exercise. “But he scored 11 points in 14 games, for a defender in Usports, that’s really not bad!â€

Despite his young age (24), Antoine Desrochers should therefore be one of the leaders of the Remparts defense next year. A defense now complete, with Andréa Palat, Christophe Tiramani, Milo Avoine, Phil Kiss, Liam Whittaker and Antoine Desrochers.

> Steven Fournier, the Quebec striker, signed for Bordeaux, the French Magnus League champions.
