Thanks to a dynamic cinema option, students, teachers and partners promote an ambitious and unifying festival in the region.
At the Ernest Ferroul high school, three teachers specialize in teaching a cinema-audiovisual option, which brings together more than fifty young people each year, from second to final year, whether within the general, technical, but also professional education curriculum. A very committed team that the principal Jean-Yves Le Morvan widely congratulated for its involvement and its initiatives: “We see clearly that when young people are well supported, they are capable of great things. This option is an opportunity in our territory“. An observation which referred directly to the organization of the festival of young film buffs, of which it was the 4e edition, with a program over five days, having nothing to envy of the major festivals, as noted by the partners of the operation, with in the first place the reference association Ciném’AudeÂ: “It took breath and conviction to launch such a festival. This event is remarkable and deserves to be better known. You have an extraordinary cinematographic culture“, underlined its president, René Martinolle, very proud to count on young people to bring quality cinema to life in rural areas, one of the missions carried out by the association for several decades, just like that of image education.
“Opening to the world”
Praises, also mentioned by the Palace film club, another partner “they cÅ“ur“High school students, who do not hesitate to reach out to them to schedule some of their cultural evenings. The MJC is also part of this dynamic around the 7e art. She also lent her premises for the filming of the students’ short films, with the provision of her cultural mediator, Céline Mathelier, a former film decorator. Among the partners of the option, the Regional Directorate of Cultural Affairs (Drac), the Department and even the City and its Educational City system. “This option allows an opening to the world and the development of creativity, by meeting directors and professionals… Working with you, young people, is a treat, because of your dynamism and your inventiveness“, specified the teachers, Christophe Hocine, Magali Baqué and Céline Emmanuel, all three given a standing ovation by their students. A unity which was widely felt during the special short film evening at the Palais des Fêtes, where they were viewed the productions of the high school students, with the added bonus of some alumni of the option coming for the occasion, without forgetting the parents and friends and the famous buffet, offered by the high school and orchestrated by its technical agents, who were also thanked for their support throughout the year, as soon as the students needed something.
