It is the place of the Protestant temple and the church of Saint-Genis which was chosen to host this event. A place steeped in history, symbol of local heritage, which the organizers wish to put back at the heart of municipal life. Jean-Claude Guillot, member of the La Traverse association, recalls that this initiative was born from a collective desire: “Bring new life to historic sites while creating meeting spaces”.
Through this project, the objective is clear: to strengthen social and cultural ties between residents. Throughout the day, information panels will be installed to present the numerous activities offered by the association during the year: board games, café discussions, creative workshops, photography and even patois workshops. A diversity of activities designed to bring together all generations.
The program will begin at 3 p.m. Music will of course be at the heart of this day. A sound system provided voluntarily will liven up the event. In turn, a performance of barrel organ and songs, karaoke and an intervention by the association “La Calle” which means ” the street” in Spanish will follow one another. “La Calle offers a cultural musical discovery of dances around Latin rhythms. creative activities for children and adults. A raffle will also be organized, with a draw scheduled for 6 p.m. The evening will continue with karaoke and a more free and festive time.
