Since its creation in 2008, Manga Creil Virtual Game – free and open to all – has become the unmissable spring event in Creil. And for this 18th edition, for the first time in Creil, this meeting will take place over two days with selected guests: the French mangakas Yoann Le Scoul and Sourya.
Beyond the discoveries, the program will be rich. Creative and cultural workshops for young and old are organized throughout the weekend: origami, manga drawing, calligraphy, ikebana (Japanese floral art), “Make your Kaiju monster!”. A major manga drawing competition is also organized on Sunday afternoon (two categories of participants: 8-12 years old and 12-18 years old), with numerous prizes to be won.
Also on the program are role-playing games, retro and current video games, virtual reality and e-sport tournaments. Activities on stage from Saturday to Sunday are planned, such as a martial arts demonstration, a live drawing with the French mangaka Yoann Le Scoul, quizzes, blindtests, a demonstration and initiation of K-pop dance as well as the traditional cosplay parade. Highlights will punctuate these two days: the Taiko concert (Japanese percussion) by the Paris Taiko Ensemble collective, (Saturday May 30 at 3 p.m. and the Tsuru show (dance and origami) by the Ahimsa company (Sunday May 31 at 4 p.m.).
A way to immerse yourself in geek and manga culture!
