Before this council of the reunified tribe of “Koh-Lanta: the relics of destiny”, there were still 8 adventurers vying for final victory.
Last week’s episode ended on a cliffhanger for which the TF1 adventure show has the secret. A week later, the outcome of the council of the reunified tribe could therefore take place. From the first minutes of the episode of Koh-Lanta: the relics of destiny broadcast this Tuesday, May 26, the tone was set for an anthology episode.
Theoretically eliminated a week earlier, the ex-Jaune Hugo had the chance to draw the ideal relic to obtain one last chance: that of the riposte duel. The previous week, we were left with this information, without knowing which adventurer the young oceanographic engineer had chosen to face. The most attentive thought they had guessed that it was Cindy. They were not wrong.
A turtle puzzle to piece together later, a first clap of thunder came to shake the reunited tribe of this 28th edition of Koh Lanta. Chosen because considered by Hugo as “the least deserving on the camp and the tests“, Cindy was eliminated without discussion during this nocturnal event.
Result? Hugo re-enters the adventure he thought he had left a few minutes before. Enough to boost the morale of the ex-Yellows, again with three, facing five ex-Reds. The icing on the cake: Hugo re-entered the adventure benefiting from an immunity necklace that can only be used during the next council. Isn’t there something to be done for the former members of the Kalao tribe if they want to completely reverse the trend?
(Almost) total immunity
Back at the camp, one name comes up on everyone’s lips: Daniel. The reason? The dean of this edition refused a strategic rapprochement with the ex-Yellows, revealing in the process the existence of a second necklace in the possession of his adversaries. Enough to break the trust of those he had tried to get closer to and make his long-time partners very suspicious. A trickery that the 51-year-old wakeboarder nevertheless assumes: “I don’t feel dishonest or a bad person at all.”
While Zakariya, disappointed by Daniel, now considers himself a member of the white tribe, the test of comfort brings everyone back to reality. The ex-Jaune Guillaume wins the event, his first individual victory of the adventure, and decides to share his reward with Hugo. A way for him to redeem himself after having given up on giving her his necklace during the last council. Which would have been fatal to the ex-Yellows without a saving relic.
During their escapade with the turtles, the third member of the old yellow clan achieves a new big coup: after having exchanged with the ex-Reds and understanding that Daniel was potentially in the hot seat, she goes in search of an immunity necklace, which she will end up finding after long hours of searching in forest. At this stage, the three ex-Yellows then have two necklaces before the immunity test. A reversal of the situation very appreciated by the viewers, who are amused by the number of necklaces found by the thirty-year-old from Tarn, now considered as a serious contender for final victory.
On the red side, we are starting to panic as we see the comfortable lead they had dwindling day after day. Starting with Daniel, who then tries to form an alliance with the last three Yellows. “He is ready to give me the two yellow names for which the reds will vote in the council in exchange for his protectionâ€explains Guillaume to Cynthia, after Daniel’s secret confidences to the Morbihan self-entrepreneur. Guillaume will ultimately not follow through on this attempted alliance and Cynthia will wait for the council to reveal this new trickery of the wakeboarder.
Un conseil de « Koh-Lanta » mémorable
Before that, the reunited stand had an appointment with a legendary test of Koh Lantathat of the balancing course on the water where the former Yellows once again shone: Guillaume and Hugo find themselves facing Zakariya. Very fit, Guillaume finally won the event, signing a second individual victory in a row. Above all, this implies total immunity for the ex-Yellows, between Cynthia’s necklace, Hugo’s and the totem of immunity won by Guillaume.
The trio therefore has all the cards in hand to change the adventure a few days before the orientation. If they hesitate between removing Daniel and getting rid of Antonin, the council will end up directing all eyes on Daniel after Cynthia’s revelations. This is where Koh Lanta offered a new tasty sequence when Cynthia and Hugo played their necklaces. And, while we could expect a logical elimination of Daniel, it was ultimately Antonin, stronger in the tests (and who scared the ex-Yellows the most) who was eliminated with three votes against him.
The Girondist postman leaves the adventure disappointed, slipping away even to live «La pire soirée de (sa) vie». However, he did not leave the island without breaking a pot, hiding a loss of vote during the next council, which he logically gave to an ex-Jaune, Guillaume. Except for this last detail, the comeback of the former Yellows in this episode was almost perfect and exciting to follow.
