Florent Pagny is making his comeback! On June 9, 10, 12 and 13, the 64-year-old artist will perform on stage at Forest National, in Belgium. He must therefore give up his role as coach in the show The Voice after fifteen seasons, as he explains in an interview with Evening Mag : “Combining the studio, a tour and ‘The Voice’, that’s a lot. I’m going to put it all on standby some time because I’m reaching 65 and I’ve put a lot of important things aside.” A return to the stage eagerly awaited by his fans, but not without apprehension, after having fought against lung cancer since 2022: “There is stage fright, it’s obligatory. The day when there is no more worry… But now, I sweat less than before! Before going on stage, I need to be a little relaxed, I need to be able to laugh with the few people around me. And there, I have fun entering the stage through the room. I see the people right away, I get the vibrations right away.”

Now in remission, Florent Pagny can count on great support: his wife Azucena, who has shared his life for more than 30 years. One day, we came across a book by a girl who told some somewhat esoteric things and who claimed that there were karmic couples and that 1993 was the year that led to a multitude of karmic couples. When we read that, we looked at each other and laughed, thinking: ‘What the hell is this bullshit?’ That said, as we really got to know each other in 1993, there is indeed something magical between us!” A rare connection that does not wear out, despite the ups and downs inherent in any couple relationship: “We’re like everyone else, we have days where we get angry, where we argue and everything, but it never goes beyond a certain limit. After all these years, we can still look at each other with a smile and say that we’re going to get through to the end together, so that’s great. It’s still really rare.”

Married since 2006, Florent Pagny and Azucena had two children, Inca, born in 1996, and Ael, born in 1999. It is also thanks to this painter and former model that Florent Pagny discovered Patagonia, a region which has become their haven of peace. “When I arrived at her house, I felt at home. And it was reciprocal: when she arrived at my house, she also felt at home. She dreamed of coming to live in Paris!
