Some films presented at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival have already been released or will be on screens very soon. The Electric Venusthe opening film directed by Pierre Salvadorihas been in theaters since May 12. Three other films in the competition, Parallel stories of Asghar Farhadi (May 14), L’Être aimé of Rodrigo Sorogoyen (May 16), Autofiction of Pedro Almodóvar (May 20), were all released during the Festival, as were L’Abandon of Vincent Garenq (13 mai), présenté hors compétition.
During the closing weekend, from May 22 to 24, more than ten films from the official selection will be presented in the Pathé Palace cinemas in Paris, Boulogne, Rennes, Nantes, Lyon, Toulouse, Masséna in Nice, Montpellier, Clermont-Ferrand and Grenoble. The entire program can be viewed here. Slight delay for the UGC group, which will give pride of place to Cannes films from May 23 to 26 in seven establishments: Les Halles, La Défense, Vélizy, Lyon Part-Dieu, Bordeaux, Lille and Strasbourg (reservations here).
