In Grimaud, in the Var, the Music Festival will take on an Irish feel with a free concert at the castle on June 21.
To celebrate the summer solstice and the traditional Music Festival, the town of Grimaud is offering an exceptional evening dedicated to Celtic culture. On Sunday June 21, 2026, from 9 p.m., the historic setting of the Château de Grimaud will vibrate to the sound of Irish music with a concert by the Golden Goat Irish Experience group. This event, completely free and open to all, is also a festive prelude to the 23rd world music festival, Les Grimaldines, which will liven up the Var city all summer.
An immersive journey to Celtic land
The promise of the evening rests on the performance of Golden Goat Irish Experience, a collective of seven passionate musicians. The group intends to take the public on a unique musical journey, where Irish traditions are revisited with modern arrangements and communicative energy. The captivating sounds of the violin will mix with the lively rhythms of the guitar and powerful vocals to create an authentic and fiery atmosphere. This evening of the Music Festival also serves as the official launch for the Grimaldines festival. Spectators present at the castle will have the exclusive opportunity to buy their tickets for the summer concerts at a preferential rate, with a discount of €5 on each seat, without conditions and within the limit of tickets available. The program for this 23rd edition promises to be eclectic and talented, with internationally renowned artists: Selah Sue and the Gallands will open the festival on July 21, followed by CÅ“ur de Pirate on July 28, Kareen Guiock Thuram on August 4, and finally the group AYOM for the closing evening on the 11th. Conditions for a festive evening
Access to the Fête de la Musique concert is completely free. The doors of the Château de Grimaud will open at 8:30 p.m. to allow the public to settle in. The concert will begin at 9:00 p.m., with an intermission scheduled for 9:45 p.m. for the announcement of the Grimaldines festival, before resuming at 10 p.m. To refresh yourself, a refreshment bar, run by the L’Heure Bleue establishment, will be set up on the Place des Remparts.
